Summer is my absolute favourite season of the year.  I’ll take the heat all day, every day over 30 below temperatures in the winter.  Studies say that exposure to the sun will spike one’s mood, improve energy  and aid in the prevention of much more serious diseases like diabetes and heart disease. If these facts aren’t enough for you to love the sun, then I don’t know what else will. While I’d love to delve more into the benefits of the sun, I know that, that’s not why you’re here. The gingham print has been trending since last summer and seemed to amp up it’s presence in Summer 2018.  On my most recent trip to Jamaica, I donned this green gingham print maxi dress from Zara while heading out to dinner at the  Secrets Wild Orchid Jamaica Resort. While the dress featured in this post is no longer available at Zara, I’ve found the exact style here.

 

 

I found this to be the perfect day to night summer dress, which especially came in handy while on vacation.  When travelling, I like to pack items that have a dual purpose in order to help diminish the possibility of overpacking and to ensure that everything fits into one suitcase.
