While our calendars scream spring, the weather here in Toronto hasn’t been quite as co-operative with a combination of snow and freezing rain all happening in the middle of April. In doing my best to cope with this weather, I have been relying on a few of my Fall/Winter favourites and trusty staples to help me get through this awkward Spring transitional period. My core favourites consist of this chic double-breasted blazer, find a similar one here, and my ever so faithful faux leather leggings, a wardrobe staple to be utilized throughout various seasons and occasions.
The Double-breasted blazer
The double-breasted blazer pictured here was purchased from Zara, an excellent buy from their 2017 summer sale. Yes you heard right, it was purchased in summer 2017. If there is one thing you should know about me, its that I love a good deal and the best deals can be found at the end of the season. Check out my past blog post Jumpsuits under $50 and How to Shop and Save, for tips and tricks on getting the best deal. This double-breasted blazer is nicely structured with shoulder pads and beautiful gold buttons, to add just the right amount of pop. It is nicely fitted and when buttoned mimic’s the contours of one’s body, worn either buttoned or unbottoned. I’ve been eyeing this pink double-breasted blazer from Zara, which would be a perfect addition to your spring wardrobe.
Styling an all Black Outfit
For a night out, I often opt for a sleek, chic yet simple look which can almost always be attained when wearing all black. My go to signature look is wearing all black with a hint of colour added in the form of accessories like: jewelry, purses, shoes, hats or a belt. For this look, I have opted for a gold choker to highlight the gold buttons on the blazer and the gold detailing on the ankle boots, find a similar one here and have added an oversized green clutch for a hint of colour.
Stay tuned for my next post where I convert this blazer into a dress and for new Spring/ Summer 2018 looks coming in May. As always I have included the links to shop this look and similar items for which make a small commission through affiliate marketing. Happy Shopping loves!
