Fashion is constantly evolving and revolving, so gone are the days when style was bound by a place or season. With more relaxed fashion rules, you’re now able to mix and match your favourite pieces from different genres and across the seasons. With that, I bring to you, my newest post sweatshirts and pencil skirts.
Decades ago, I imagine that mixing pieces from different style realms was a hard no, however with time we’ve made some remarkable strides, and in a nutshell fashion has become what you make it. While this look isn’t a new phenomenon by any means, it definitely is a trend that shouldn’t be overlooked during these colder months. In a previous post,
the Denim Mini-Skirt, I shared how I transitioned my favourite denim skirt from my summer ward robe into the fall season, so be sure to check that out.
About this Look – Sweatshirts and Pencil Skirts
It is quite common for your mood to play a part in influencing your outfit choice for the day and for me, this look is a true reflection of just that. Conflicted between dressing up with a dash of elegance and being casually cozy, I combined my favourite and only sweatshirt at the moment with a print pencil skirt from Asos (no longer available) but you can shop similar, affordable pencil skirts
here and
here.
The off – the shoulder grey sweatshirt pictured here, is from a previous season at H and M. While it is no longer available, I have noted some other similar off-the shoulder sweatshirts, that you can shop
here and
here (on sale at Asos less than $20).
This particular look would be good for date night, dinner or drinks with the girls, as I’ve paired it with some simple patent leather heeled sandals. For more of a casual and comfortable look, you could pair your sweatshirt and pencil skirt outfit with some flats, sneakers or platform golf shoes. I have my eyes on these
flats and
sneakers and wholeheartedly endorse them as great additions to your closet for the approaching spring and summer season.
Below I have linked some other great pencil skirt and sweatshirt options for you to choose from. Till next time – stay warm!
Xoxo,
Kimberly

It is said “who wears the fashion matters”. You sure rock the style well. This makes the reader have a pretty good idea what to look for. Kudos
