The summer season is never fully complete without a trip to some body of water, whether it be the pool, the seaside or the lake depending on where you live in the world.  None of these excursions would however be complete without the perfect swim accessories.  This year, one-piece swimsuits have stolen my heart for a number of reasons, which I’ll  delve into just now. On a recent getaway to Jamaica, I donned this one-piece swimsuit and this affordable cover-up to mask a not so flat tummy from not quite hitting my summer fitness goals and to also compensate for the fact that I would be indulging in all the meals  offered on this all-inclusive vacation.  The swimsuit pictured in this post by La Blanca was extremely comfortable and looked flattering on, despite the fact that this picture was taken at the end of my vacation, having already indulged in 3 days worth of unlimited food.   Now that I’ve come clean about why a one-piece swimsuit was right for me on my most recent getaway, here are some reasons for you to consider it too:

Why Choose a One-Piece Swimsuit?

•  Works for all Body Types – One piece swimsuits tend to be the most flattering for all body types.  No matter your body type, there will always be a one-piece swimsuit that’s just right for you.
• The Style Factor – There are an endless number of styles, prints and fabrics to choose from when looking at a one-piece swimsuit.  You are bound to find a one-piece swimsuit to suit your liking.  Check out some of my favourites down below:

• The Sexy Factor – In recent times, designers have improved the styles available for one-piece swimsuits, and while formerly they were seen as not being “sexy,” monokinis and high-cut one-piece styles have made clear strides in refuting those claims.

• Flattering Fit – A good quality one-piece swimsuit can be your invisible tummy tuck.  Once made with a good quality  fabric  it will help in concealing any  bulges that may otherwise be apparent, giving you a flattering look. In this instance, I do recommend spending more for such a swimsuit.  The Miraclesuit swimwear line is a good line to try in that instance, as it uses an exclusive Miratex fabric which delivers over 3 times the control of other swimwear fabrics.  That’s right, you heard correct! Affordable Cover-Ups Under $25

Cover-ups are also an essential beach accessory and completely necessary for any beach vacation.  In this post, I opted for a mesh coverup, from Forever 21 (similar), which allowed the style of  my swimsuit to remain visible at all times  While cover ups are a great complimentary beach accessory, it’s not something you necessarily have to splurge on.  In my hunt for affordable cover ups, I found some great pieces on Amazon, all under $25
