These days, any item that serves multiple purposes are ultimate winners in my book. Ironically, as a blogger focused on style, I embody the same mindset when shopping for clothes. The satin camisole and cargo pants featured in this post are based on this simple principle. Whether paired together or separately, they can can serve a variety of looks; that can easily take you from day to night. Transitioning this look from day to night is quite simple and will depend on only a few minor changes, here and there; so keep reading to learn more.

About This Look: Satin Camisole and Cargo Pants

Traditional cargo pants are typically not my style. However, these particular cargo pants were different in that they had a bit of an edge to them. The cinched ankle and the high-waist in particular, quickly caught my eye. Anything high-waisted makes the perfect silhouette and with that understanding, I was completely sold. While these pants are no longer available, I have found very similar pairs which you can shop here  and here, the latter of these which is currently on sale.

The satin camisole is an ultimate wardrobe staple and while it widely gained popularity as a suiting accessory, it definitely should not be limited to this function. Paired with these cargo pants, simple heeled patent black sandals and a purse; this can be the perfect date night look or a night out with the girls.

Simple Tips to Achieve a Day or Night Time Look

Looking to adjust this look to suit your occasion, below I’m sharing two simple tips to accommodate a daytime or nighttime transition, depending on your preference.

• Shoes:  Alternately, you can achieve a day time look by switching out the heeled sandals for flat sandals like these by Vince Camuto and also these from Franco Sarto, both of which I’m currently loving right now. This look can also be paired with sneakers for a more sporty look. These loafer-like sneakers from Cole-Haan now 40% off would be a great addition for a daytime look, and overall a great addition to your wardrobe. Pumps or heeled sandals will undoubtedly take this look from day to night.
• Purse: Wearing a cross-body or belt bag is another great way in which you could achieve a daytime look. Currently, I’m eyeing this camera bag; and especially loving the colours and the statement strap.  For a night-time look, a satchel (pictured), shoulder bag or clutch will do the trick.

This is no doubt, one of my favourite looks as the pieces themselves are quite versatile, not only taking you from day to night, but into every season of the year as well.
