I recently attended a birthday celebration at Lavelle; a beautiful rooftop restaurant and bar with a pool, cabanas and all the trimmings, located on King Street in downtown Toronto. From where we sat, the view was spectacular, both indoor and outdoor from the poolside cabanas to the CN Tower. It was this brunch celebration that transpired the inspiration for this post, “Brunchin’ in Style with Culottes and Ruffled Crops.”
Word on the street is that brunch is the new way to go when celebrating birthdays and special milestones; and I am all for it, so why not do it in style. Culottes and ruffled crops have been pretty big this season, and paired together, work magic. I’ve paired this look with metallic mules in gold by Tom Ford, and have also included several budget friendly versions for you to shop as well by Aldo and Shellys London (on sale now); along with the popular statement woven like Arc bag by Cult Gaia, a favourite among many bloggers.
To finish off the look, I’ve added the gold multi-row choker by Kenneth Jay Lane, for a bit of sparkle which is now on sale at Barneys Warehouse and Neiman Marcus Last Call. The earrings used in the post are a bit of a splurge, and are by a brand called NUSH. I’m a lipstick lady, so of course my “Brunchin’ in Style” look would not be complete without a bit of colour on the lips. While the look boasts a nude lip colour by Charlotte Tilbury called K.I.S.S.I.N.G, I’ve also included some red lipsticks by NARS. As always, I’ve included links to Shop this look on a budget, and if you’d like to splurge a bit, the links to Shop the original items are available as well. With my mimosa in hand, lets cheers to “Brunchin’ in Style!
Please note that all similar items are budget friendly options.
